Heather Hein is the Creative Programs Coordinator for Writing Heights Writers Association, an Event Host for Shut Up and Write, and organizes a bi-weekly horror critique group. She has published several short stories in anthologies: The Tuliptree Review, Chiarscuro, It Calls From Below, and the New Plains Review, among others. She is the author of seven Kindle Vella stories. Her essay, Offerings to the Spider Gods, was nominated for the 2022 Pushcart Prize, and she is the third-place winner of the 2021 Colorado Short Story Contest. When not writing among her menagerie of people, pets, and plants, Heather enjoys all those typical Colorado hobbies: hiking, trail running, camping, backpacking, and paddleboarding.
