THE HORROR WRITERS ASSOCIATION (HWA) is a nonprofit organization of writers and publishing professionals around the world, dedicated to promoting dark literature and the interests of those who write it.
Join the HWA, Colorado
Current members of the parent organization of the Horror Writers Association (HWA) are welcome to join the Colorado Chapter. Membership is open to all levels: Supporting, Associate, Affiliate, and Active.
There is no fee to join the Colorado Chapter. However, you must stay up-to-date with your annual dues with HWA. Non-members may audit one meeting, but must join HWA to continue as a chapter member.
The Colorado Chapter welcomes current members throughout the state of Colorado and in the surrounding regions. Current members may apply to the Colorado Chapter provided they agree to participate in the chapter’s activities.

Meetings & Events
The Colorado Chapter holds in-person and online meetings. We aim to have at least one virtual and one in-person meeting a month. For other upcoming events, please check out our events page, Facebook page, or sign up for our newsletter, The Tommyknocker.
We are seeking to create an inclusive and accessible community available to members in all parts of the region.

We do not tolerate harassment of our members or others in any form, including but not limited to any and all of our events, both in person, and online, and also on our social media platforms.
