HWA Colorado presents an Advanced Horror Studies class for the 2023 summer virtual workshop series.
The Dreadful Company We Keep: An Ethics of Horror Fiction
Even if we may consume horror fiction as a primarily aesthetic pursuit, are we never allowed to be upset by works in the horror genre that, by nature, are “dreadful”? Likewise, are we only to read something so we can impose our own moral and ethical bias upon it? If writing fiction, must we always consider the morals and ethical biases of others?
Join actor, artist, and writer Jeamus Wilkes in answering these questions for yourself with a virtual workshop on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 7 to 8:30 pm MT as he explores the “dreadful” company we keep in reading and writing horror fiction.
FREE to attend. This workshop takes place online via Zoom. To register, click here.
