Before We Begin

Join the Horror Writers Association, Colorado, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 7 to 8:30 pm Mountain time for Before We Begin, a lecture on the pros of prologues with author Thomas C. Mavroudis.

A well-crafted prologue not only provides a tight, succinct back-story, but enhances the overall narrative it precedes. Through a variety of examples from both genre and literary works, Thomas C. Mavroudis will illustrate the diversity and usefulness of this writing tool as he does a deep dive into the prologues, why they may work for you, and how you can make them work.

Before We Begin is a free, online workshop taking place via Zoom on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 7 to 8:30 pm Mountain time. No registration is required. You can join on event day and time here.

Member of the Denver Horror Collective, as well as the Horror Writers Association, Thomas C. Mavroudis has an MFA from the University of CA, Riverside – Palm Desert under the direction of Stephen Graham Jones. His debut novella, Bergdorf & Associates, was released in May of 2021. His short stories have appeared on Creepy: A Horror Podcast, The NoSleep Podcast, and in Weirdbook, Cosmic Horror Monthly, Mooncalves, Kelp Journal, December Tales II, and elsewhere.
