Horror Writers Association, Colorado (HWA CO) will host a horror-themed SFX makeup tutorial on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 2 to 3 pm at HORRID in Denver, CO. This event is free to HWA members and $5 per person for the public. Admission at the door.
This event is instructed by special effects and makeup artist Christina Tracey who will be showcasing zombie makeup just in time for spooky season. Tracey is an IATSE 706 award-winning makeup artist, with over 30 years of experience in film and TV but is most proud of her work in theater. She works both in Denver at the Buell Performing Arts Center as a local hire, currently on Beetlejuice, and in Los Angeles to work with the talented hair and makeup team at the LA Opera and The Hollywood Bowl.
