Find Your Voice: Public Speaking for Authors

Join the HWA Colorado (HWA CO) and author, editor, and professional public speaker A.E. Santana for a free public speaking workshop, Find Your Voice: Public Speaking for Authors, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Eloise May Library from 2 to 3 p.m. Learn why public speaking is so important, best practices for public speaking, and tips and tricks on dealing with stage fright.

A part of the business of writing is marketing, and a part of marketing is public speaking. Authors may find they need public speaking skills for: public readings events (online and in-person), interviews, pitching their projects, and promoting their works. Although tailored for authors, Find Your Voice is open and free to the public for anyone interested in learning basic public speaking skills. Participants should bring a short bio (no more than 50 words) and a handful of courage.

Find Your Voice: Public Speaking for Authors is an in-person workshop on public speaking taking place on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Eloise May Library located at 1471 S Parker Rd, Denver, CO. No registration is required. For more information contact coloradohorror@gmail.com.
