Suspense isn’t just for thrillers! Comedies, romances, and adventure stories all need a—at the very least—a dash of suspense. This free workshop will help authors weave suspense into their stories, understand how suspense works, and give tools and crafting suspense for any genre.

A.E. Santana is a Southern California native who grew up in a farming community surrounded by the Sonoran Desert. Her works can be found in Crawling, Latinx Screams, and other speculative anthologies. She is the co-chair for Horror Writers Association, Colorado and is on the steering committee for Denver Horror Collective. Santana is also a professional public speaker who has moderated and participated on numerous panels, workshops, and lectures. She received her MFA in fiction from the University of California, Riverside’s low-residency program. Her perfect day consists of a cup of black tea and her cat, Flynn Kermit. She lives in Colorado.
